Swedish Heritage in British Columbia is a volunteer-run organization that documents, records, and preserves the history of the Swedes and people of Swedish heritage who settled in British Columbia and helped shaped the province. This includes Swedes as well as Swedish Finns, Swedish Estonians, Swedish Ukrainians and Sámi peoples who emigrated from areas of Sápmi now located in Sweden. We fulfill our mission through our archive, genealogical research support, an oral history project, community events, and the Swedish Heritage Museum, opened in 2019.
