This durational performance explores notions of fluidity in identity through a series of costumes, wigs, and make-up. Each costume or 'persona' of popular housewives (both real and fictional) was documented and produced as a series of images. The use of the storefront works in two ways: as a contrast to the invisibility one often experiences in her day to day 'performance' as a mother and as the creation of a metaphoric mask to hide how undervalued and insecure she really feels. This performance was presented by VIVO Media Arts.
