These are the Building Committee Meeting Minutes for October 26, 1933 to October 27, 1933, and October 31,1933. Page 1: The front cover of the booklet, a vintage scribbler, with a beautiful scene of 2 boys fishing, and the caption "Playing Hookey". Hand written in Finnish, "Sointula Co-operative Building Committee Minute Book". Page 2: This is the first page of the meeting minutes booklet, held on October 26, 1933. It states O. Luck (Otto Luck) was chosen as chairman, and discusses whether the old foundation could be used for the new building. Bottom left page is missing. Page 3: This is the second page of the meeting minutes booklet, and discussion continues on the buildings height, placement of doors, stairs, and a freight lifting elevator. It also discusses building an air tight room for opening boxes, to prevent rats from entering the main building. It was decided every man would draw a plan. Page 4: This is the third page of the meeting minutes booklet, it plans the next meeting at the Manager's home, and the meeting was adjourned. Page 5: This is the fourth page of the meeting minutes booklet, a joint meeting between the store building committee and the directors on October 27, 1933. Previous minutes were approved, with some additions. The size of the building was discussed, as well as the development of the basement, and the stairs location. Page 6: This is the fifth page of the meeting minutes booklet, and the location and size of the office was discussed, with the decision to be made after hearing the Manager's opinion. The strength of the basement walls was also discussed, as well as what kinds of materials would be used. Page 7: This is the sixth page of the meeting minutes booklet, and it was decided the work would be done by volunteer labour. Lunch and afternoon coffee would be provided for these workers at the Finnish Organization Hall. V. Ahola's proposal for organizing 4 members from the building committee to be bosses, one term at a time. Page 8: This is the seventh page of the meeting minutes booklet, between the Cooperative Store Building Committee and the directors. A list of supplies was read, which they compared to their cost estimates. Since members of the building committee could not come to an agreement on the building plan, both plans would be brought to the general meeting for viewing. Page 9: This is the eighth page of the meeting minutes booklet, which discusses building the basement floor, and planned for the next meeting. William Williams, Secretary. Page 10: This is the ninth page of the meeting minutes booklet, which is a loose page. It states the building cost estimates would be done by John Anderson, John Lehtinen, A. Anderson, and W. Williams. The exterior drawings of the building were chosen to be drawn by John Anderson. The drawing of the floor plan would be drawn by W. Williams. Page 11: This is the tenth page of the meeting minutes booklet, and is a loose page. O. Luck was chairman. Lumber questions, and a planned visit to Telegraph Cove and Englewood.
