in Terrace as a store
front. operation under
the Sight and Sound
Computer Centre, the
past years have seen a
remarkable growth for

the local firm of North-:

ern Computer Concepts
(NCC).

Going from two em-
ployees to 24 employees
in four years with four
locations at Kamloops,
Prince George, Terrace
and Prince Rupert has
not been without its
growing pains and no-
body knows those ex-
periences better than Jim
Condon and Rick Giro-
day, those first two em-
ployees. According to
Giroday, “I not only
have the distinction of
being the second longest
employed, but also the
oldest employee.”

As British Columbia’s
second largest indepen-
dent retailer of com-

puter Concepts offers
computers in the Apple
Computer and Zenith
Data Systems MSDOS
environments, along
with complete hardware
and software service and
support. With on-call
consultants in the fields
of computer program-

has dropped 44 percent since
1970. The number with no chil-
dren has risen 34 percent over
thesame period of time,

appointment of Rick
Giroday as Northern
Computer Concepts’ Ed-
ucational Representa-
tive.. Giroday is now
responsible for 16 School
Districts from Merritt to
MacKenzie and from
McBride to the Queen
Charlottes. Replacing
Rick in the Terrace
location is acting
Terrace Manager, Mike
Schmiderer.

Along with these

changes is the introduc-

tion of team member
Danny Sheridan. Sheri-
dan, a long time resident
of Terrace and well
known for his work in
real estate, has been ap-
pointed the position of
Business Representative

with responsibility for

the direct marketing of
computers to businesses
throughout the Pacific
Northwest.
