CELEBRATE THE ARTS

The Community Arts Council of Greater Victoria

For the last ten years, the Community Arts Council of Greater
Victoria has hosted a very successful Regional Juried Art
Exhibition. The exhibition is open to artists and artisans from the
Capital Islands region, encompassing Vanvouver Island south of
the Malahat, and from the Gulf Islands.

Last year our exhibition, LOOK ’92 , drew 6,000 people to view
and purchase works by 250 local artists. Of the works entered,
twenty pieces were selected by the jurors to be advanced to Images
& Objects, the visual arts component of the B.C. Festival of the
Arts. These works received much recognition, and a number of
awards, at the provincial showcase.

Entry forms for the exhibition are currently available through the
Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria, and your local Arts
Council. The deadline for entry in the exhibition in January 18,
1993.
