Diversion of Storm sewer to Baker Creek

Further to your letter of March 12, 1990 re tha above, please be
advised that the matter has been discussed at the Public Works Committee
meeting of April 3, 1990, While the Committee agreed that it was desirable to
carry out the works, they felt that the City's contribution towards the
project should be limited Co carrying out the engineering design and
preparation of a detailed estimate of the cogt. We will be proceeding with
the design work and estimating as time permits, and will advise you of the
estimated costs in due course,

Would you please advise the undersigned whether the Ministry of
Environment and the Department 9 Fisheries and Oceans would be Prepared to
pay for the cost of construction. The City would be prepared Co undertake the
construction for a fixed fee based on the abovementioned detailed estimate if
your agencies would jointly pay for the work. If you wish, you may attend a
Future Committee meeting to discuss the matter, Please contact ¢
undersigned if you wish to make arrangements to do this.
