A regujlar meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the
City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council} Chamber, Port Coquitlam
City Hall on Monday, October 5th, 1987, at 7:30 peme

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D.
Gates, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, WoW. Stewart and M.R. Wright in
attendance.

Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, Director of
Community Planning W. Brown, and Secretary S. Rauh.

CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES:

Moved by Alderman Stewart:
Seconded by Alderman Farnworth:

That the minutes of the Regular Council Meeting held on September
28th, 1987, be taken as read and adopted.

That Mr. M. O'Conner, G.V.R.D. be allowed to address Council regarding
the Letters Patent for Development Services.

Carried.

That the City approve a draft Letters Patent to establish Development
Services as a function of the Regional District.

Defeated.
Aldermen Wright and Farnworth
voted in favour of the resolution.

That Council! endorse continuation of the G.V.R.D. Service,
extended contract.

Carried.
