last week the 1988/89 synopsis
can be obtained at offices of the
Ministry of Environment and
Parks, Government Agents and
sporting goods stores.

year’s freshwater fishing synop-
sis, it contains additional infor-
mation which will make it more

interesting and useful to the-

public,’’ Strachan said.

“Every hunter and trapper
should obtain a copy and
become familiar with the regula-
tions — both the general re-
quirements and those specific to
their activities,’ the Minister
said. .

Fuel tax rate hiked

Changes in provincial tax rates on petroleum fuels, effective

July 1, 1988, have been announced by the Minister of Finance.

The changes result from indexing of provincial tax rates for
petroleum products. The indexing

Handicapped persons who qualify will continue to receive a re-

fund of the full amount of tax paid on gasoline and diesel fuel.

The next quarterly review of provincial fuel tax rates will take ef-

fect October 1, 1988.
