Steve Kietzmann, from South Africa, also on a Rotary Internation exchange scholarship, will be with us for the 1991 calendar year. We are very happy to have him with us. Devon Kuiper went to Ottawa - for the Encounters with Canada program and to Victoria for the B.C. Youth Parliament. Jason Krause, Angel Parmar and Bao Lanh Diep received Summer Lan- guage bursaries to attend the Cours d’Ete de Langues - Bourses at the Ecole International de Francais at the Universite du Quebec a, Trois Rivieres, during July and August. This summer, Sonya Krug will be going to Japan on a Pacific Rim scholarship sponsored by the B.C. government. Jason Krause, one of nineteen students from throughout B.C., has been awarded a Pacific Rim scholarship for a year of study in Japan. The scholarship is worth up to $20,000. Good-bye In January of this school year, we said good-bye to Irene Ennis who taught full-time and part-time in the Home Economics depart- ment. We miss her cheerful pres- ence and her valued contributions. We welcomed Scott Armstrong to our staff as the co-operative educa- tion co-ordinator in January. Scott left in early June to pursue his doctorate at the University of Southem Mississippi and will be returning. At the end of. this month, we say good-bye to Al Cameron, who will be teaching at _Lakelse High next school year. Mr. Cameron has been with us since the opening of Caledonia in the fall of 1969. He has been a com- mitted, dedicated, industrious and conscientious teacher and we shall miss him very much.
