This show chooses the works of art for the B.C Festival of the Arts. Registration deadline is Monday, January 20 Artists may pick up registration forms from the Village Gallery on Beacon in Sidney or call Dianne Cross at 656-4201. LITERATURE: A poetry reading, Gravity and Light, by authors Margaret Blackwood, Anne M. Kelly and Kerry Slavens, will be held Jan. 22 in the Nell Horth Room of the Sidney-North Saanich Library at 7:30 p.m. Free admission. COMMUNITY ARTS COUNCIL: Goals of the CAC for the coming months include: a. A writers’ seminar b. A summer arts and music festival c. Arts in the Schools program d. School scholarship program e. A juried art show d. Encourage a Sidney theatre program. The Arts Council will be distributing grants and awards to artists.
