the way with 40 points, and Natha-
niel Stoffelsma had 12.

68-62 loss to Reynolds. In the

third-place game, the Stingers
edged John Barsby of Nanaimo
72-64.

“The boys are starting to come
together,” said coach Dave Tooby.

“Tt was a big improvement.”

Forward Matt Strome scored 38
points in the John Barsby game,
while Dave Caleb led the way
against Reynolds with 12 points.

Tooby said his team did not play
well in their opening league
games.

“I was disappointed with the
results. I think we can play with
either of those teams (Reynolds
and St. Andrews).”

Strome tallied 11 points against
