As a middle-aged woman who
was lucky enough to be born at the
right time, I ask myself, ““Who are
these poor families?”

All too often the answer
includes individuals who are

within the $30,000 and $40,000 ~

income bracket!

Ironically, if these individuals
had been earning $10,000 only 20
years ago, housing and even a car
would not have been an issue!

We bought our first house 20
years ago and a brand new car
when my husband’s salary was in
that range 20 years ago! The silent
majority in Our area are decent and
caring people.

responded to my concerns

I have every reason to believe
that Sidney Mayor Marie Rosko is
similarly disposed! Our provincial
and federal politicians could leam
a thing or two from the afore
mentioned mayors.

The only times one can be
assured of unanimous consensus
in either house is when they are
voting themselves a pay increase!

We must remember that our
children hold the future in their
hands. A little hardship can be a
catalyst for success but “poverty”
should never be a way of life
unless it is freely chosen by, the
individuals concerned!

I believe that to survive, we must
adapt and maintain a balance, but
to be truly free there can be no

compromise with evil! Enforced
poverty is evil! The silent majority
must assert itself!

I must begin by putting my
money where my mouth is and
renewing my subscription to your
paper!
