From this promise came Cinta Batiks, which collects work from top Indonesian and Malaysian art- Pacific Northwest. Finley has also continued study- ing and producing batik work as well, which is included in the shows. Batik is created by applying layers of wax and dye to fabric. Once the design is sketched on the fabric, hot wax is applied to those - areas which are to remain white.
