Cyclist injured

A combination of driving on the
wrong side of Mt. Newton Cross-
road and poor visibility by a
Sidney woman Tesulted in a colli-
sion between an 11-year-old Saa-
nichton boy and a car recently,

A 1981 Ford four-door driven
westbound by a 77-year-old Sid-
ney woman apparently started to
tum right into a driveway when the
cyclist was hit.

The boy was taken to Saanich
Peninsula Hospital with injuries
that were described as not serious.
An estimated $150 damage was
done to his bike.
