Music by local composer Ste-
phen Brown will be premiered
April 26 in the final recital of the
Music in Miniature series at St.
Paul’s United Church.

Brown’s music has been per-
formed by the Toronto Symphony
Orchestra, the Victoria Symphony
Orchestra and by various soloists
and chamber groups.

His music has been published
by Berindol, Canada’s largest pub-
lisher of Canadian music and
some of his compositions are in
the syllabi of the Victoria Conser-

In addition to Brown’s composi-
tions, the recital will include a new
contemporary work for cor anglais
and piano by Johann Steinblitz.

The recital starts at 7:30 p.m. in
the church, 2410 Malaview, Sid-
ney. Tickets are $5 at the door.
