Arts council § ee plans office and auction An arts office in Sanscha Hall is the first achievement of the newly formed Sidney and North Saanich Community Arts. Council. The office will be manned by volunteers from 1 to 3 p.m. every Thursday, members agreed at a meeting March 20. Members also agreed to hold a fund-raising art auction late this summer, offering services, art work and performances. An arts directory listing local artists, performers and crafts peo- ple will produced by group mem- ber Larry Cross. Chris Doman suggested the Arts Council help sponsor a summer retail outlet for members similar to one on Saltspring Island. The Arts Council is open to groups and individuals in Sidney and North Saanich and to individ- uals in Central Saanich, although Central is not officially part of the council.
