Crown counsel Edward Ormheim said Crosby was stopped by
Sidney RCMP at 11:44 p.m. when he drove past a stop sign at Fifth
Street and Bevan Avenue in Sidney. He had two breathalyzer
readings of .20 per cent.
Defence lawyer Mayland McKimm said Crosby had gone to the
bar after work then gone drinking with his wife through the
evening.
In addition to imposing the fine, Judge Alan Filmer prohibited
Crosby from driving for one year.
