Born in Calgary, Alberta on March 5, 1909, he is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Lorraine Adams of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Jane Fisher, of Denver and Michael Short, of Virginia; Bill and Brent Adams, of Edmonton, Alberta and several great-grandchildren; step- children; Eileen Summersgill, Sandy Ursuliak, Joyce Ferguson, Lesley Feni- ak, Bob and Doug Van Kleek and also by his friend Phyllis Stephens. Prede- ceased by his first wife, Edith, of 46 years in 1977, his second wife, Lillian in 1981 and his son, Billy in 1979. He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy, sons, Ralph (Mary) and Raymond, daughter Sharon, step- daughters Virginia (Ron) Holt & Sandra (Jim) Pratt, 3 granddaughters, 3 great- grandchildren, 5 step-grandsons & 4 step-great-granchildren. Denny was the first terminal agent employed by the B.C. Ferries at Swartz Bay and held that position for 17 years until he retired. Denny and Dorothy travelled extensive- ly in their volkswagon van. They also enjoyed their bingo games. Denny was also a caller at the Silver Threads in Sidney. He was an avid gardener, along with Dorothy, and always received com- pliments on their yard from people passing by. Denny will be missed by all who knew him.
