TheReview Wednesday, December 19,1990 — B10 | Students raise donations of food “Trick or Treat? No, thank you, sir” Students from Island Pacific Adventist Academy, as is their custom, called at homes in the community for donations of canned goods for Christmas ham- pers instead of for goodies for themselves, Halloween night. The generous response of local people resulted in a bounty of 500 to 600 tins of food for the Sidney Lions/Review Food Bank as well as some to the Victoria area. For many years the Seventh-Day Adventist Church handled its own distribution, but a few years ago decided that one centre might handle the process equitably, said church member Jack Glover.
