Drury Gallery, continuing until Jan. 6. Through the centuries, there have been two very different sides to the special time of the year when many celebrate the birth of Christ. This small exhibition features the two aspects: sacred and secular, as seen through the eyes of our artists. Included will be historical paintings of the Madonna and Child, engrav- ings by Durer, and recent paintings and prints of a secular nature. Also, Betty Meyers: The Arctic until Jan. 1. Betty Meyers is a Canadian artist who maintains studios in both Vic- toria and Saskatoon. This exhibition, entitled The Arctic, will be made up of 12 large oil-on canvas paintings. _ The paintings are all new works and are the result of the artist's recent extended trip through Canada’s far north.
