Of the 120 poems in the book,
96 were selected through a compe-
tition sponsored by Toronto-based
This Magazine. Twenty-four well-
known Canadian writers and pub-
lic figures were also invited to
contribute to the book.

Although the book was offi-
cially launched in Toronto, several
of the local writers whose work is
printed in the book held their own
book launch Saturday.
