Manager Tony Timms said the first 25 minutes of the game, held at Iroquois Park, was evenly con- tested. Though the Shakers had the run of play, the defensive line of Alan Betton, Colin Tulloch and Shawn Thompson were kept on their toes, he gpid. At the 25- minute mark, Brad Weinmeyer scored for the Shakers with a shot from the edge of the box, Timms said. . Two minutes later, Weinmeyer slotted home another goal, but Juan de Fuca came back with a goal just before half-time, he said. Two minutes into the second- half, Ryan Fisher scored the Shak- ers’ third goal after Juan de Fuca’s goalkeeper was unable to hold on to a cross from Colin Timms, he said. Only anit minutes later, another goal was notched up by the Shak- ers — this time by Regan Daly, Timms said. And two minutes before the end of the game, Sam Flynn fired the fifth Shakers goal into the back of the net, he said. Timms said Sean Hosick, Chad Hastings, Andrew Hill and Ben Harding all made a strong contri- bution to the victory. Nick Loveridge and Chris Sau- derson played well in goal to ensure the win.
