Deep Cove Folk Club family picnic and
musical gathering, 3 pm until dark, at the
Caretakers’ Cottage, Denham Till Park, 744

ART SHOW

An art show, Perspectives of Natural and
Social Environment, will be presented at
the Mount Newton Valley Conservation
Centre in the Ravenhill Herb Fann Bam,
1330 Mt. Newton Cross Road, Saanichton,
from noon to 5 pm. The show features
works in oil, acrylic and water color by
Jeremy Borsos of Mayne Island. Potter
Louise Card of Deep Cove will display a
collection of expressionist pottery. Show

AVID ANGLERS

Sidney Anglers Association’s annual
bottom fish derby slated for August 12 in
Tulista Park. Tickets may be purchased at
Harvey’s Sporting Goods, Sidney, for the 3
pm weigh-in. Admission is $5 for seniors

BOAT RAFFLE

Sidney Shrine Club is raffling a boat,
motor and trailer unit to raise treatment and
transportation funds for three children, two
girls with cerebral palsy and a boy suffering
from leg problems. The boat will be on

An exhibition of Muriel Sibley’s clay
sculptures continues at Maples Gallery,
