A nature walk covering the native uses of
Sidney Island plants will be held at Sidney
Spit marine park starting at 7:30 pm.,
followed by a 9:30 pm slide show on the
adaptive abilities of animals entitled The
Secrets of Survival. Free visitor programs

hunt, sailboarding, diving demonstrations,
the Kiwanis food concession, special ferry

SCULPTURE SHOW

An exhibitions of Muriel Sibley’s clay
sculptures opens at Maples Gallery July 29;
from 1 to 4 pm. Figures illustrate many of
the unique and endangered species of
Canada. Bids will be taken on a sculpture
with proceeds going to the World Wildlife
Fund. The artist will attend the opening.
