The big machine was trenching for a water line extension when a portion of the road collapsed and it dropped in. A crane and a couple of front-end loaders were brought in fo help it out of the peril, to the delight of a crowd of onlookers. It took a Couple of hours, but the expensive piece of heavy equipment was finally extracted and put back to work. No fags on Ferries It’s butt-out time on B.C Fer- ries. Starting Sunday, smoking will not be allowed inside vessels on the B.C. Ferries fleet. The only exceptions will be aboard the lon- ger Inside Passage and Queen Charlotte Islands routes. “B.C. And, as Ms. Houghton tells us, milk impostors are com- pletely unacceptable and insuffi- cient to promote healthy growth in infants. It must be said, though, that cow’s milk is not an essential component of everyone’s diet.
