A Sidney Days run for fun

For those of us that are into fitness and enjoyment of the outdoors the
Seventh Annual 8-Kilometre Fun Run and 4-K Walk organized by the
Peninsula Track Club is a chance to go for personal best or simply run,
walk, jog with your friends.

The scenic route has no hills and offers a great opportunity to enjoy
an invigorating bit of exercise followed by a hearty breakfast.

Run/Walk organizer Tom Michell emphasizes that this is a family
event. “It doesn’t have to be a run — it can be a walk,” he says.

The run starts with pre-registration at 8 a.m. at Sanscha Hall Sunday
July 1. Participants can pick up forms at local merchants, Panorama
Leisure Centre or the Sidney Days office 9790 Second Street).

The entry fee is $8 per person or $20 per family of three ($5 for each
additional family member). The cost includes a Kiwanis pancake
breakfast following the event.

Prizes will be presented in 4 categories for both male and female.
These will include the top three in each of the following divisions: 16
and under, 17-29, 30-39, 40 and over. There will be also a number of
draw prizes.
