Air cadeis hold
inspection Sat.

Ill be spit and polish time for
the 676 Kittyhawk Air Cadet
Squadron Saturday during its
annual inspection.

Starting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in
the control tower parking lot on
Canso Road, squadron members
will be on parade for a demonstra-
tions and an awards ceremony for
deserving cadets, spokesman San-
dra Fullbrook said. -

The reviewing officer this year
is Supt. Richard Henry Waller, a
long-time member of the RCMP.
serving since 1958 in five provinc-
es.
Waller is currently the com-
manding officer of the Victoria
RCMP E Division.

Members of the public are wel-
come to attend the annual inspec-
tion and lear about what the sea
cadet squadron is involved in.

OUT IN FORCE Friday at the Swartz Bay ferry terminal were
RCMP. auxiliary police, CRD Community health nurses and
regular duty police officers, checking Child safety restraints
in all vehicles. Most motorists were receptive to the check,
expecially because no tickets were handed out.
