Municipal Engineer Igor Zahyn- acz reported the Greater Victoria Water District no longer delivers bulk water and local residents must use commercial water supply services. To deliver to homes on the Peninsula, commercial compa- nies need a water outlet in the area. A central outlet to serve Sidney, North Saanich and Central Saa- nich residents would be more cost- effective than an outlet in each municipality, Zahynacz said. Council agreed to request instal- lation of a metered outlet by the water commission.
