Cards and computers come fo local libraries

Library patrons can pick up
library cards from the Sidney-
North Saanich and Brentwood-
Central Saanich libraries starting
this week to prepare for the com-
puterized circulation system.

The new cards will have individ-
ual codes identifying the library
user. Registration of library
patrons will continue until June
16.

Both libraries will close from
June 18 to July 7 to allow all books
in the library to be bar-coded for
the computer system.

At the same time, staff will be
trained on the new Dynex system.

The Sidney-North Saanich

library on Resthaven Drive is Samantha Hunt, 8, of Sidney.
The library cards for the new Computerized system were
available at local libraries Monday.
