Crown counsel Edward Orm- heim said Horsfield was south- bound on West Saanich Road at 1:15 am. when he was noticed by police and followed. Horsfield tumed night at Marchant Road and then drove behind a church, stopp- ing and turing off his headlights, Ormheim said. After a few minutes, Horsfield continued driving south on West Saanich Road and was followed by police to Keating Crossroad where he was stopped. He had breathalyzer readings of ~ 15 and .14 per cent. Judge Stephen Denroche fined Horsfield $350 and suspended his licence for a year. “Tt was a dumb thing to do and I shouldn’t have done it,” the 28- year-old Horsfield said.
