Community TheReview Wednesday; April 18, 1990 B7 Board wants briefing first | If the Memorial Park Society wants to put a community hall on school district leased property, the school board should know about the proposal first, trustee Anne Johnson told society directors Wednesday. Referring to a proposal by John Harper to put a community hall on ® land near Parkland School, John- son said the school board read the proposal in the newspaper before receiving word from the society. The board has referred the idea Bis) the North Saanich Middle School and Parkland Secondary School administration for com- ment, she added. Director Chuck Harvey said the society directors received Harper’s plan but did not discuss it. The plan has not been either endorsed or rejected, he added. Harper's plan was referred to the society ’s community hall commit- tee for a report back to the society board. Directors also agreed to write the school board explaining: the situation and assuring the board of future cooperation. Monday April 23 6 p.m. CAMOSUN TODAY - ® Variety.
