Predeceased by his loving wife Maude Louise on January 8, 1990 and daugh- ter-in-law Donna on January 16, 1990: Reid leaves his loving family; daughter. Sharren and husband Bill Knowles of Sidney; sons Keith and wife Alison; Doug, Wayne, Reid Jr. and wife Lynn; and 14 grandchildren. Reid was in the Air Force for 19 years and was trans- ferred to Pat Bay in 1946 and retired in 1947 and joined Trans Canada Air Lines and retired in 1972 from Air Canada. Always involved in community affairs in Sidney, Reid was largely responsible for forming Little League Baseball, Babe Ruth Baseball, and’ the Boy Scouts and was the founding Commanding Officer of the 676 Air Cadet Squadron. Also in his retirement years, Reid took on the responsibility of fund raising and volunteer building committee of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. A very big thank you to the Doctors and Nursing Staff of the Inten- sive Care Unit, Victoria General Hospi- tal.
