DONALD — PASSED AWAY peaceful-
ly at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital on
March 13, 1990. Mrs. Phyllis Joan
Donald aged 85 years. Predeceased by
her husband Captain Colin D. Donald,
R.C.N. She leaves her loving family;
sons, Eric and wife Mimi of North
Vancouver, B.G., Peter and wife Donna
of Ladner, B.C.; daughter, Joan and
husband Lyman Butterfield of Victoria,
B.C.; grandchildren, Nicole, Geoffrrey,
Alison, Andrew, Harry, Valerie; three
great-grandchildren; brother, Lt. Col.
Larry Henderson of Victoria, B.C. Phyl-
lis was a long time resident of Deep
Gove and she had been active and
enjoyed all aspects of community life.
Memorial services were held on Friday,
March 16 at 2 p.m. from Holy Trinity
Anglican Church, 1319 Mills Road,
Sidney, B.C. Reverend John Twining
officiating. Flowers gratefully declined.

HAYWARDS — SIDNEY

JONES — MAGGIE ISABELLA (Mar-
garet). Passed away peacefully on
March 13, 1990, in Victoria General
Hospital. Born in Huntly, Scotland, on
November 4, 1903. Predeceased by
her husband, Emrys, in 1984, her
brothers, Charles in 1963, and William
in 1990. She is survived by one brother,
John Nicol (Viola) of Winnipeg, Manito-
ba, two sisters, Jean Granger of Bran-
don, Manitoba and Mary Bulak (Paul) of
Merritt, B.C. Several nieces and neph-
ews. She will be greatly missed by her
family and friends in the Brandon,
Manitoba district where she grew up,
and Sidney, B.C. where she lived for
seven years before retiring in Victoria in
1974. Prayers will be held on Friday,
March 16, 2 p.m. at 101-323 Michigan
Street. Friends invited. Rev. Ron G.
Attwell officiating. Flowers gratefully de-
clined. Our grateful thanks for the excel-
lent care she received on South 7B, and
to her doctor of many years, Dr. Buie.
