WO te ote b we Pe Page M16 February 21, 1990. This Week THE LAST WORD A great moniker has a certain ring in video world When you have a good name, it seems the whole world wants to use it. That’s what Mike and Tara Ross, owners of Mega Video in Esquimalt have found. They have been having their problems since a video store with a similar name opened across town. Many people are confusing Mega Video Ltd. with the newly-opened Mega Movies in Victoria. It’s a con- stant source or irritation, says Mike, as staff have to field inquiries from many people who are convinced they are dialing the Mega Movies store. The newer business doesn’t have a listing in the 1990 Victoria and area B.C. Tel directory. It’s not the first time it has happen- ed either - the seven-year-old compa- ny had some problems two years ago when a newcomer to a Blanshard Street mall tried to use the words “mega video” on a sign but changed their mind after a protest was filed. Mike and Tara have contacted a lawyer who is corresponding with Video Two Ltd. of Vancouver, the owner of Mega Movies. iInich/'Gordon Head News Supplement to The Oak Bay Star, The Sidney Review, The Goldstream Gazette, The Victoria Star, The Esquimatt News and The Saa IDEAL FOR RRSP’s! WHY THERE’S SELDOM BEEN A BETTER TIME TO BUY BONDS As Inflation pressures have risen, the monetary authorities have raised interest rates considerably. We believe that these actions will force the economy into a period of much slower growth and hence a decline in interest rates. As the economy slows, and interest rates decline, this will provide substantial capital gains for investors in the bond market. We feel that this potential for above average returms may not present itself again for a long time.
