The decision to remove restric- tions on the lot at Bevan Avenue and Second Street was one of two major recommendations approved by council — the other a reduction in the cost of a monthly parking permit to $15 from $20. The permits allow drivers to park beyond the limits in designat- ed lots. = But other changes could follow in an “‘ongoing process” of review, said Ald. Herb Addison. A committee of council and staff discussed parking for three and a half hours, and the decisions “‘qidn’t come easily,” said Ald. John Calder.
