Harvey’s takes 4-0 viciory
despite being shorihanded

At the start of a Jan. 20 Division
6B soccer game against Juan de
Fuca at Wishart School, Peninsula
Harvey's Sporting Goods was
worried about being forced to play
shorthanded.

But the first-half result demon-
strated Peninsula could do well
enough with just 10 players, two
less than the dozen fielded by Juan
de Fuca Ray’s Sports.

Manager Ron Muir said because
it was the first game after the
Christmas break the team was
worried about the game.

Shortly into the first half it
became apparent that Harvey’s
was dominating the game.

Many scoring attempts were

one goal scored by Fraser Lott late
in the first half.

Harvey’s once again dominated
in the second half.

Three unanswered goals were
scored by Surya Forest, Michael
Hughes and Shawn Richards. Muir
said that all players contributed
both offensively and defensively to
the final result.

There was excellent work by the
forwards — Mason Walker, Surya
Forest and Fraser Lott; the mid-
fielders — Aaron Olson, Shawn
Richards, Michael Hughes and
Scott Muir; the defenders — Cam
Inouye, Jeff Hetherington, Scott
Muir and Michael Hughes; and
the goalkeepers David Junghams
and Cam Inouye.
