He leaves his loving family, Rubymay, Sherry and Paige, Brian and Kelly, Colin and Owen, Brock and Margie; brother, Hubert Parrott and sister, Muriel Short; un- cles, Jack Noel and Sandy Noel and Aunt, Ethel Noel. Harold was a graduate of Victoria Normal School, the University of British Columbia and held an M.A. degree from the University of Toronto. As a teacher, Harold involved himself totally in the education and development of his students, serving as Vice Principal of Belmont Secondary and Principal of Dunsmuir Secondary Schools. He was President of the British Columbia Teachers Federation and a member of the Senate @ the University of British Columbia where he worked to develop and promote the profes- sionalism of teachers. After retiring from education, Harold turned his energies to the community serving as Alderman, Mayor of North Saanich and a member of the Capital Regional District. As Chairman of First Pacific Credit Union, he assisted in the merger that created Pacific Coast Savings Credit Union, serving as a director. Harold was a member of the Union Club and an enthusiastic mem- ber and Past President of the Camosun Gyro Club. A memorial service will be held on Wednes- day, January 10 at 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church, Quadra Street with Arch- deacon Robert McRae officiating and the Reverend Robert Sansom assisting.
