Street Naming Wins Approval

The new stretch of road: ex-
tending from Wilkinson Road at
West Saanich, through the high-
way interchange to connect with
Royal Oak Ave. will become part
of Wilkinson Road, Saanich
planning committee has decided.

A number of the 30. residents
who live on that part of Royal
Oak Avenue now finishing at
Pachena Place attended the

municipal meeting to petition
against renaming the west end of
Royal Oak Avenue. Mrs. §.L.
Cumberland and. others were
pleased with the committee’s -
final decision.

Dougias street north will ex.
tend beside the freeway to end at
Royal Oak Avenue and that part
of this road now known as Bar-
ber, will be renamed Douglas.
