- Despite a wet and stormy day

on Sunday, over 130 people turned
out for a walkathon. held in aid of
the Sidney. Scouts and Guides
New Hall Fund.

Over $2186 has been received
in pledges; so it is hoped that the
walkers will get out aS soon as
possible and collect all the money
promised to them. The first debt
to be paid out of the total will be
$1,000 to Fred Robinson, who
gave the fund an interest free
loan last year.

Bobby Bryant, age 9 was first
to complete the 10 mile course in
Lhour and 10 minutes: 2nd, was
David Langtry, and third was
Paul Welle.
