The bride, Wendalynne Louisa
Fisher is the daughter of Mr. and

and the late William McIntosh of

Rev. F.J. Pendray of North
Douglas Pentecostal Church
solemnized the double-ring vows
in asetting decorated with yellow
gladiolus and rust-colored
chrysanthemums. Pew markers
were miniature sheaves of wheat.

Harvest colors were chosen for
gowns of. the attendants who
carried bouquets of wheat and

“orange chrysanthemums with
yellow streamers.

father, the bride chose a Chan-.

tilly lace gown. in Elizabethan
style with fitted — peari-
embroidered bodice ‘and hoop
° skirt. The lily point long sleeves
_anddeep tiers of lace which swept

veil contributed to the graceful

Annual meetings of the B.C.
Goat Breeders’ Association was
held on. October 10 following a
- turkey luncheon served by Lower
Vancouver Island Branch
members. at the Saanichton
Experimental Farm.
A welcome. was extended to
visiting members, some of whom
had travelled from the Okanagan
and Cariboo areas.
Guest speaker, Dan Kelly,
livestock convenor at the Pacific
National Exhibition,
congratulated the goatkeepers on
their excellent. showing at. the
1970. PNE, and made ‘several
recommendations for even
greater success in future shows.
It was resolved that provincial
directors would: make a_ careful
study of what had been said, and
render a report: to: Mr. Kelly
before the end.of the year.
It was resolved to sponsor an
essay competition for. 4-H
members on some aspect of goat
keeping, and that they shall be
judged by: Mr. Bell, Dairy Im-
provements Branch, Department
of Agriculture.
The Association will’ donate
prizes for goat cheese aged to two
months or more and. ta. be
exhibited at the Spring kid shows
held. annually — at ‘Saanichton,
Cloverdale. and Williams Lake.
BOOKS FOR LIBRARY
The Directors recommended
the purchase of new books on
goatkeeping for the B.C.
provincial library.
It was resolved to contribute
$25 toward the improvement of
the goat buildings at Saanichton,
Cobble Hill and Cloverdale ‘fair.
