Obituaries

” Christopher Dresser, a resident.

of Brentwood Bay for 20 years,
died on September 22, aged 63
years. Born in Esquimalt, his late
residence was at 979 Josephine
Road,

Surviving are his wife,
Josephine, at home; son, Brian,
of Brentwood Bay; daughter,
Mrs. James (Muriel) Keith,
Esquimalt; sister, Mrs. Olive
Pomeroy of Victoria. The
deceased was a member of

F.0.E., Aerie No. 12, Victoria.

Interment was at Royal Oak
Burial Park, following a service
in the Sands Funeral Chapel of
Roses on Sept. 24, Mr. James
Robertson officiating.

going to turn Victoria into ‘‘The Geneva Of The West"
through his Economic Council of Greater Victoria?
He worked for a while doing public relations for
Goodwill Industries but is now unemployed.

CURVE OF TIME... MRS,
LIZ MABBERLEY of Munn Road
and her family of eight boys and
girls ranging in age from 3!
years to 17 took an adventurous
but cheap vacation this summer
in a borrowed, 32-foot, former
Department - of Transport
hydrographic boat. For five
weeks the family toured the
‘coastal islands and inlets, living
mainly: on bread. baked aboard
and lots of caught and: donated
fish. The only mishap was when
the “Albatross” ran.into a nasty
southeasterly which swamped
the dinghy and swepi most of the
family wardrobe. into the chuck.
“The waves were so high I
stopped worrying about the big
ones coming and dealt with the
one just in front of me.’ Liz said
