Sidney’s newly appointed:
building inspector is 26-year-old
Hans Joachim ~ Schneider,
graduate of the Northern Alberta
Institute of Technology. Although
he has. been on the job in Sidney
for less than . one month,
Schneider’ is taking a: keen in-
terest in community affairs.

He is already on the Senior
Citizens Activity Centre building
committee and has drawn up a
tentative plan for a structure
which would permit two-phase
development.

Before coming to Sidney, Hans
Sehneider worked as a draftsman
and realtor. He holds a diploma
in architectural technology and
approaches his° work with -con-
fidence and enthusiasm.

A native of Edmonton, the
young man finds a contrast in the
attitude of municipalities, both
and throughout: the
province, towards potential in-
dustry: ‘‘We do not cater to in-
