Peninusla Power Squadron members held a din- — ner-dance last Thursday evening at Canadian Legion Hall to welcome 24 graduates of their Piloting and Safe Boating Class into the Squadron. National and representatives of organization devoted to boating safety, were on hand to congratu- late the new members. An advanced course, “Seamanship”’, was also offered by Saanich Squadron, which 15 members completed success- fully. As it turned out it ended in a tie and the cost of the wiener roast will have to be split between the two packs. . It was great fun to see all the little people enjoying themselves as each made every effort to win. ist Brownies. were called Road- runners and for a while it looked -as though they would be the winners. 2nd. Brownies were known as the Go-Go girls and were cheered on by six Go-Go cheer leaders. This seemed to inspire the team and after SIX innings the score was tied 6-6.
