Oil Tank Seepage Problems Solved The probiems of oil seepage at Deep Cove. Elementary’ School have been solved according to a letter received by North Saanich Council from School. District. 63: Oil escaping from storage tanks was cbserved scumming - -ditch' water in the area some weeks ago and caused con- siderable concern. Total value this year for the three areas was $1,506,836. For the first quarter of 1969 it was $1,328,791. Sidney was down while the other two municipalities were up. In the three months of this year Sidney issued permits with a value of $555,441 compared to $673,304 last year. — For the. -month = of March, Sidney permits were issued to the value of $207,000, a decline of. $83,760 on March of last year. March figures represent permits. for 11 new dwellings plus sundry alterations, and commercial construction. to the - value of $15,000. In. Prior to the meeting,. the members from the other islands and guests were entertained at lunch by the Mayne Island members.
