A special afternoon meeting
was hosted recently by Victory
Lodge No. 63, Knights of Pythias
in the Sidney Castle Hall, when
Knights from severa! Island
Lodges gathered to confer the
rank of Knight on Esquires Smith
and Cole of Comox-Courtenay
Lodge No. 64 and W. Tripp of
Victory Lodge No. 63.

Chancellor K. Witham, Nanaimo,
Grand Inner Guard G. Spinks and
Past Grand. Chancellor J.
LeQuesne of Duncan, as well as

for about 100 Knights, Sisters and
their guests.

Sidney Centennial ‘71 Com-
mittee has joined with the North
Saanich Centennial ‘71 Com-
mittee for an exchange of views
on forms of entertainment to
celebrate the anniversary of
British Columbia’s entry into
Confederation in 1871.

The two committees
discussed suggestions
put forward for a
project or. projects which will
reflect the greatness of our
Province. The committees are
endeavouring to finance a project
