The trophy for ~ outstanding ahicevement inthe club was presented this year to Marilyn _ Jody Aylard was awarded the Yearling Trophy, plus the Dewdney Trophy for the best Jersey calf at the Saanichton Fair. Our former leader, Mrs, Maureen Hoole presented the junior trophy to Vivian Kennedy. Mrs. Marie Mutrie presented the Mutrie Penmanship Award to Susan Flint for best kept record book. Junior Badge winners. were: Bruce MacAulay, husbandry; David Aylard, husbandry; Lesiie MacAulay, dairy judging; Karen Kennedy, husbandry; Susan Flint, showmanship; Vivian Kennedy, demonstrator. To advance to a senicr level, members may write a B.C, Agriculture Department exam after they are 13 years old. This year two members Jody Aylard and Marilyn MacAulay. suc- cessfully passed their examination and earned their Junior Proficiency Certificates. Senior Skill Certificates were Mrs. Arlene Aylard, our club also presented to: Jody Aylard, husbandry; Marilyn MacAulay, demontrator, and husbandry. Susan Flint made a_presen- tation on behalf of the club to leader. A very amusing skit was presented at the conclusion of the evening by all the club members and greatly enjoyed by parents and guests. Two new members, Velvet and Kathy Smith attended with their parents and will start their.projects next spring. The club took an active part this year in 4-H activities, at- tending a field day in Qualicum and. participating in Fairs at Victoria, Nanaimo, P-.N.E., Saanichton, and. Duncan. Two members attended 4-H Camp and one member went on the 4-H trip to Montana. Marilyn MacAulay placed second for the In- Rally for all 4-H members. in Greater Victoria.
