wrote exams. Results were good
and. an enthusiasm for sailing
was shown by those involved.

Sidney Recreation Commission
Playground Programme gets
under way this week. The Tot
Programme is being held at the
Sidney Elementary School. The
Childrens’ (6-12 year)
Programme at St. Paul’s United
Church Hall. Each programme

takes place on Mondays
Tuesdavs,. Wednesdays and
Thursdays. between 9:30 and
11:30 a.m.

This year's Summer
Programme. takes a_ slight

change in format. Since last-year
the Commission has conducted
three, seasonal programmes
(Fall. Winter and Spring).
Summer Programme is now part
of a year-round series.

Although types of activities
change from season to season,
Recreation is still that thing we
do in our leisure time that we find
enjoyable. Whether it be
physical, mental, social or any
combination of -these,.it is an
essential part of each one’s. well-

the S.P.A.R.A. submission was
an ‘‘irresponsible action’’ was in
my opinion totally unfounded,
unwarranted and unworthy of his
elected office and, furthermore,
the harassment by telephone by
his worship and personal rebukes
by certain’ Aldermen to: the
president of S.P.A.R.A. were
inexcusable.

If anyone’ has shown
irresponsible. action, it is the
