Christmas Dinner For Silver Threads

“Deck the Halls with boughs of
holly, ‘Tis the season to be jolly”* -
the old words of the Christmas
carol. were most appropriate at
the. Silver: Threads Centre
December 21.

At 12.30 p.m. approximately 160

members and guests sat down to
a sumptuous turkey dinner with
all the trimmings. Apart from the
attractive Christmas feast,. the
tables were beautifully decorated
with miniature. real Christmas
trees and unique ornaments
made by the Novelty Group.

Al Smith, wizard of the
keyboard and longtime favourite
at our Centre. provided his usual
brand of delightful en-
tertainment. Russ Stinson em-
ceed the Carol Singalong to Al's
accompaniment. Mrs.. Stiles
brought three of the Sidney K-
dettes to provide an interlude of
baton twirling in the. best
majorette tradition.
