PAGE FOUR Wednesday, August 11, 1971 Sidney Rotary Club Since its inception in August of 1946, the Sidney Rotary Club has been a major force for good on the Saanich Peninsula. Contributions to Rest Haven Hospital, Sanscha, the North and South Saanich Agricultural Society, the Saanich Peninsula Agricultural and Recreational Association; support of youth through scholarships, a band, team sperts; service in time of emergency such as that disaster that was the Black Ball ferry strike — the list of facilities and programs supported by Rotary is too ‘long to itemize in full. With a membership composed over the years by some of our finest citizens, Sidney Rotary has established a. record of service to their community, of which they may justly be proud. .
