From egg-carton caterpillars to party hats; from Pin the Tail on the
Donkey to Hide and Seek; all thése and more are being: enjoyed by
more than 50 pre-school children at the Tot-Lot. Other crafts they have
“stand-up” pictures, weaving, colouring and painting,
Indian headbands, and papier mache ‘‘Shmoo’'s’’. The children play
many games, such as Obstacle and Three-legged races, Farmer in the

Deil, and even baseball:.The facilities-at Sidney School are excellent

for this typeof programme. There.-is.a great variety of playground
equipment, such as a slide; swings, monkey-bars; teeter-totters, as
well-as an adventure playground: with pipes- tires and_ bridges,
providing ample opportunity for creative. play,

The Beach was the theme of the'Playground pr ogramme last week:

| A visit was made to the beach and things such as shells,. rocks: and

driftwood were brought back to provide materials for the \week’s
erafts.. Some of. these crafts -were Oyster-shell Ashtrays,” Rock
Animals, Paperweights, and Beach Mobiles. Some more ambitious
crafts were undertaken last. week, too; Cheese boards, involving
